Summer in East Knoyle is very important to the village as every year this is the occasion of the annual Flower & Vegetable Show.

The late Charlie Cumberlege was keen to establish this event as an all inclusive village affair and, after consultation with the RHS, the first show was launched in 2015. It has gone from strength to strength and is now eagerly anticipated and prepared for by a hard core of growers of both vegetables and flowers.

The added interest of photography and scarecrow competitions, and the all-important children’s classes, not forgetting baking and preserves, give it widespread appeal, and each year is given a new theme.

Run by a small committee, held in the Village Hall, and with teas available outside in the beautiful garden, participation is encouraged by the publication of the schedule of classes prior to the Show, and can be seen on the dedicated website https://www.ekfavs.co.uk/
